This will be my first time riding this route. It mainly follows Route 229 along the Shakotan Peninsula, which juts out slightly on the Sea of Japan side. I heard that the area is famous for the Shakotan Blue sea, steep cliffs, and delicious uni (sea urchin)! I’m looking forward to experiencing the breathtaking blue ocean and unique scenery that I can’t usually see in Kyushu. Plus, the fact that there’s a shuttle on the way back means I can indulge in seafood without worry and relax in a hot spring afterward—what a heavenly plan!

YouTuber / InfluencerYUKARI

More than just a cycling enthusiast, YUKARI is also active in a wide range of fields, leveraging her experience in the fashion industry. She travels nationwide with her beloved Ridley bike to enjoy cycling and road race spectating, sharing her experiences through YouTube and social media.

This fun ride is perfect for cyclists who love both cycling and race spectating! You get to ride part of the actual course that the racers will use the next day, making it even more exciting to watch the road race afterward. Since I’ll be riding these routes for the first time, I’m really looking forward to it! Though I’m not the best at climbing, having aid and support along the way gives me confidence. Let’s fully enjoy the scenery and gourmet delights together!
