From August 26-30, 2026, the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships will take
place in Niseko, Hokkaido—marking the event’s first-ever edition in Asia.

This premier championship is reserved for the amateur cycling world’s elite,
welcoming only the top 25% of riders who qualify through the global UCI Gran
Fondo World Series. As the cycling world turns its eyes to Niseko, this historic
debut builds on the “NISEKO CLASSIC” cycling event’s legacy as a UCI Gran Fondo World Series Qualifier.

The 2026 World Championship event will unite top riders and fans from around the world for five days of thrilling racing and international exchange, all set against Niseko’s breathtaking natural scenery.

Cycling participants are also invited to experience the excitement and atmosphere of the World Championships, set within this truly special stage where the event takes place.
