Scenic Potato Fields, Majestic Hills, and Winery Trails: Explore the Diverse Mountainside Course

This approximately 55 km cycling route connects Kutchan, Akaigawa, and Yoichi. Starting at the foot of Niseko Annupuri, ride through vast potato fields that stretch as far as the eye can see.
After crossing the pass, you will arrive in Akaigawa Village, recognized as one of "The Most Beautiful Villages in Japan". The spectacular view from the edge of the caldera will give you a rewarding sense of accomplishment after the climb.

As the landscape transforms into expansive vineyards, you will reach Yoichi, a premier fruit-growing area in Hokkaido. The journey ends at the Nitori Tourism Orchard, the perfect spot to celebrate your ride. Under the cherry trees, treat yourself to fresh lamb jingisukan (grilled mutton). The more you cycle, the more delicious it tastes!

Point
Potato feild
The potato flowers bloom in June, adorning the fields with vibrant colors such as white, pink, and purple, depending on the variety. It is a signature sight of Kutchan, bringing a touch of elegance to the landscape.
Mt. Yotei
The beautiful solitary peak known as "Ezo Fuji" is the symbol of the Niseko area. Its stunning scenery, adorned with snow from October to early June, is truly captivating.
Farmers' Market Stop Akaigawa
Located at the junction leading to Reisui Pass towards Yoichi and Kenashi Pass towards Otaru, this facility is an ideal place to take a break. A variety of local specialty products are available for purchase.
Cardela viewpoint
Akaigawa Village is situated in a caldera-shaped basin, offering a panoramic view of the basin from the observatory, with the majestic Mount Yotei (Ezo Fuji) visible in the background. Crossing Reisui Pass reveals the Sea of Japan, with Yoichi Town just around the corner.
Vineyards
Yoichi Town, known as one of Japan's premier wine-producing regions, boasts the largest production volume and cultivation area of wine grapes in Hokkaido. The vast, picturesque landscape soothes the hearts of visitors.
Finish / Nitori orchard
A long-established orchard founded in 1870 offers the joy of picking various fruits from late June. In the all-weather cherry orchard, you can enjoy Genghis Khan barbecue ( lamb meat BBQ ) at any time without worrying about the weather.
