I have been a cyclist for 15 years and was born and raised on Tsushima Island.
Currently, I share cycling routes and gourmet spots on my YouTube channel, “Beki no Ikubeki!”, and Instagram.
In August 2023, I fulfilled a long-time dream by completing the PBP (Paris-Brest-Paris), a 1,200km brevet.
Recently, I’ve been expanding my rides beyond Japan, exploring places like Korea and Taiwan, and I’m excited to continue discovering more cycling routes around the world!

This will be my first time riding this route!

It seems like we’ll be mainly cycling along Route 229 on the Shakotan Peninsula, which juts out a bit into the Sea of Japan. I’ve heard that this area is famous for its breathtaking Shakotan Blue waters, dramatic cliffs, and, of course, uni (sea urchin)—a local delicacy!

Back in Kyushu, I rarely get to see such stunning coastal landscapes and deep blue seas, so I’m really looking forward to it. And the best part? There’s a shuttle ride back, which means I can indulge in a big bowl of kaisen-don (seafood rice bowl) without any regrets and even enjoy a relaxing soak in an onsen afterward.

I honestly can’t wait for this ultimate cycling-and-gourmet adventure!
